Sathya Sai Baba was born on 23 November 1926 was an Indian guru and philanthropist who claimed be the reincarnation of Sai Baba of Shirdi and had huge number of followers considering him no less than God. Devotees who used to follow him continued to celebrate his birthday and follow his teaching even after his death.

At the time of his death in 2011, Sathya Sai Baba had at least 5 crore followers, including famous cricketers like Sachin Tendulkar and Sunil Gavaskar, as well as actors like Aishwarya Rai.

In 1963, it was asserted that Sai Baba suffered a stroke and four severe heart attacks, which left him paralysed on one side. These events culminated in an event where he apparently healed himself in front of the thousands of people gathered in Prashanthi Nilayam who were then praying for his recovery.

On recovering, Sai Baba announced that he would one day next be reborn as an incarnation named Prema Sai Baba in the neighbouring state of Karnataka.

As a part of the 92nd jayanthi celebrations of Sri Sathya Sai Baba, fruits were given away to patients at Mahatma Gandhi Cancer Hospital at M.V.P. Colony and devotees continued to perform Bhajan and remembering their God day long.
