23rd April every year is celebrated as World Book and Copyright Day since 1995 by the United Nations. It has been observed since years to promote writing, publishing and familiarity with copyright laws around the world. Therefore, sticking to the agenda, here is a list of famous libraries of India all the readers must visit once. The National Library of India is the largest library in the country and was established in the 1836. It is a house to 26,41,615 books along with other periodicals, maps, manuscripts etc.
