An encounter between security forces and terrorists took place in Jammu and Kashmir's Bandipora district. 3 soldiers died and 15 security personnel have been injured in the gunbattle.
A terrorist was killed in the encounter. The injured soldiers have been airlifted to an army hospital in Srinagar. According to media reports the condition of some jawans is critical.
According to reports Police and Army conducted a joint search operation as they got a clue about the presence of terrorists in the residential area.
The terrorist became cautious after hearing the gun shots and tried to break the cordon. But they were trapped and one terrorist was killed during the encounter.
The incident took place 2 days after 10-hour long encounter between terrorists and security personnel in Jammu and Kashmir's Kulgam district.
