The Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas has taken to X to clarify myths and facts about the 5 kg Free Trade LPG (FTL) cylinder.
There is a common myth that online booking is required to obtain a 5 kg Free Trade LPG (FTL) cylinder. However, this is not true.
The Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas has clarified that there is no requirement for online booking to purchase a 5 kg FTL cylinder.
Another common myth is that an Aadhaar card and a permanent address are mandatory to obtain a 5 kg Free Trade LPG (FTL) cylinder.
Amid the evolving situation in West Asia, the government said that 5 kg LPG cylinders are available at distributors on showing a valid ID without the need for address proof. It can be taken by simply showing Aadhaar card
Another myth is that a 5 kg FTL cylinder can be booked for home delivery.
5 kg FTL cylinders are generally not required to be booked for home delivery and are usually available for direct purchase from authorised outlets.
