According to a report by the Independent, the experimental maglev train achieved an extraordinary acceleration during a test conducted at the Donghu Laboratory in Hubei province, covering the 0-to-800 km/h mark in just 5.3 seconds on a 1-kilometre test track. Unlike conventional trains, maglev technology uses powerful magnetic forces to lift the train slightly above the track, virtually eliminating friction between the vehicle and the rail. Electromagnetic coils positioned along the track then generate a magnetic field that propels the train forward, allowing it to achieve extremely high speeds.
