First, let us tell you that Nita is the chairperson and founder of the Reliance Foundation and the Dhirubhai Ambani International School, and she is also a director of Reliance Industries. She is the owner of the Indian Premier League team Mumbai Indians.
Nita Ambani was Nita Dalal before her wedding with Mukesh Ambani. She was born on 1 November 1964 in a middle-class Gujarati family in Mumbai. Her parents are Ravindrabhai Dalal and Purnima Dalal.
Nita Ambani, wife of Mukesh Ambani, holds a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce from Narsee Monjee College of Commerce & Economics in Mumbai. In addition, Nita is also a trained Bharatnatyam dancer.
Nita Ambani started her professional journey as a schoolteacher at Sunflower Nursery in Mumbai. She used to earn a salary of Rs 800 per month only.

With a family fortune estimated in excess of US$113.5 billion (November 2025), the Ambani's are among the richest in the world.
