Delhi woke up to grey skies, waterlogged roads and uprooted trees as overnight rain continued through Thursday morning. The India Meteorological Department has issued a 'red' alert for the day. As per the weather department, Safdarjung, the capital's base weather station, recorded 72.6 mm of rainfall in the last 24 hours that ended at 8.30 am. The weather department stated that the minimum temperature in the city settled at 24.3 degrees Celsius, 3.6 notches below normal. Waterlogging was reported from several parts of the city, including Vikas Marg, areas in East Delhi, New Delhi railway station, Munirka, Sadar Bazar and Dwarka. What will be the weather in Delhi-NCR on July 10?

According to the IMD press release, Delhi- NCR will witness a generally cloudy sky on Friday, July 10, 2026. A spell of very light to light rain at many places with moderate rain at isolated places accompanied with thunderstorm/lightning towards morning/forenoon. The maximum and minimum temperatures over Delhi are likely to be in the range of 33°C to 35°C and 22°C to 24°C, respectively. The minimum temperature will be appreciably below normal (-3.1°C to -5.0°C) at most places, and the maximum temperatures will be below normal (-1.6°C to -3.0°C) at most places over Delhi. The weather agency stated, "The predominant surface wind is likely to be from east direction with surface wind speed reaching up to 10 kmph during the morning hours. The wind speed will increase becoming up to 15 kmph from the east direction during the afternoon.
