Tamil Nadu Governor Banwarilal Purohit led the 71st Republic Day celebrations in the state, unfurling the national flag at the Marina here on Sunday. An impressive march past by the members of the Armed Forces, state police, scouts and guides were held on the occasion.

The 71st Republic Day was celebrated across Odisha with gaiety and enthusiasm on Sunday amidst tight security. Governor Ganeshi Lal unfurled the tri-colour and took the salute at the state function at the Mahatma Gandhi Road Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik attended the celebration as a guest of honour.
