The Jammu and Kashmir Assembly Elections will conclude today, October 8, 2024, with the completion of vote counting by 6 pm. However, results for several constituencies have already been announced. Some key candidates of the Union Territory, including Ravinder Raina, Iltija Mufti, and Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari, have lost their constituency seats to the opposition candidates.

Jammu and Kashmir People’s Democratic Party (JKPDP) Iltija Mufti lost the Srigufwara-Bijbehara seat to Jammu and Kashmir National Conference (JKNC) candidate Bashir Ahmad Shah Veeri who won with 9,770 lead votes.
