Three jawans killed and atleast 7 others injured after terrorist attack in Shopian district of Jammu and Kashmir. According to media reports terrorist ambushed their convoy in Mulu Chitragam village in South Kashmir's Shopian district. One woman is also killed in the cross firing.
According to police officials the terrorist attack happened at 2.30 am on Thursday morning. Militants ambushed and fired at the army in Chitargam village of Shopian district.
Security forces have cordoned off the area and a search operation has been launched after the terror attack in South Kashmir's Shopian district.
According to initial reports the army was returning after carrying out a search operation in Kungoo village when they were ambushed by the militants in Shopian district.
On February 17th militants hurled a grenade at a police patrolling party in Nowgam sector in which two local policemen were injured. 4 jawans and 4 terrorists were killed in two separate gun battles in Bandipora and Handwara district of Jammu and Kashmir on 14th February. 2 army men were killed and 3 injured in an encounter in Kashmir’s Kulgam district on 12th February.
