Indian Coast Guard Ship Varuna decommissioned

Indian Coast Guard ship 'Varuna,' with a service of 30 years was decommissioned with full armed forces honours on Wednesday in a traditional military ceremony held at the naval base in Kochi. The ceremony was presided over by Inspector General K R Nautiyal, Commander, Coast Guard region (West).

Earthquake of magnitude 5.0 hits Jammu and Kashmir

An earthquake of intensity 5.0 on Richter scale hit Jammu and Kashmir in the early hours today. There have been no causalities and any damage to property or infrastructure reported yet. The epicentre was located at a depth of 90 km.

Resident doctors of Delhi's Safdarjung Hospital went on indefinite strike

The resident doctors at Safdarjung Hospital in New Delhi went on strike for indefinite period on Wednesday after their colleague was allegedly manhandled by the attendants of a patient.
