According to reports the government is now planning to re-introduce and print Rs 1,000-denominated currency notes. As of now, India has currency denominations of Re 1, Rs 2, Rs 5, Rs 10, Rs 20, Rs 50, Rs 100, Rs 200, Rs 500 and Rs 2,000.

Mumbai local trains are badly affected due to rains. Mumbai was slashed by heavy showers in the past 24 hours. According to India Meteorological Department (IMD) there will be heavy to very heavy downpour in Mumbai at many isolated places on August 29.
