Voting began amid incidents of violence in West Bengal, where an estimated 34.71 per cent of voters exercised their franchise till 11 am on Monday in eight Lok Sabha constituencies, election officials said. An electorate of 1,34,56,491 will decide the fate of 68 candidates in the eight constituencies — Baharampur, Krishnagar, Ranaghat (SC), Burdwan East (SC), Burdwan-Durgapur, Asansol, Bolpur (SC) and Birbhum. There were reports of a clash between TMC and BJP workers outside a booth in Barabani in Asansol, following a tiff between sitting MP and BJP candidate in Asansol, Babul Supriyo and polling officials inside the station, an Election Commission source said.

After paying obeisance at the Golden Temple and Durgiana Temple in Amritsar in the morning, Deol filed his nomination in Gurdaspur. Deol was accompanied by his brother and actor Bobby Deol. Punjab BJP chief and Rajya Sabha MP Shwait Malik, Haryana finance minister and party’s election in-charge of Punjab Capt Abhimanyu and Akali leader Gurbachan Singh Babehali also accompanied Deol. Deol will be addressing a rally at PUDA ground in Gurdaspur later in the day. Senior leadership of BJP and SAD will also be present in the rally.

Over 29 per cent voting was recorded in the first four hours of polling in 13 Lok Sabha constituencies in Rajasthan which began at 7 am on Monday. The Barmar parliamentary constituency recorded the maximum voter turn out of 33.53 per cent, while the overall voting percentage at 11 am was 29.40 per cent, according to the office of the chief electoral officer. Banswara, a tribal dominated Lok Sabha seat in south Rajasthan, recorded 31.66 voter turnout till 11 am. Jodhpur, which is the keenly watched seat where the son of Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, Vaibhav Gehlot, is contesting against Union minister of state and sitting MP Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, recorded 30.53 per cent voting in the first four hours.

The Tamil Nadu Directorate of Government Examinations is likely to declare Tamil Nadu Board class 10th or Secondary School Leaving Certificate SSLC results 2019 today at 9.30 AM. However, there was no official announcement about the exact time of the result declaration but it has been widely speculated that the SSLC Result 2019 would be announced by the Tamil Nadu Board early. The examinations were conducted in mid-March. Over 9 lakh candidates have taken the exams and are waiting for the results. The government websites tnresults.nic.in, dge.tn.gov.in and dge1.tn.nic.in would publish the results and students can also obtain their results via SMS alerts . The app Tamilnadu Board Result 2019, SSLC & HSC Result on Google Store will also give information about SSLC results 2019 .
