Amid the US-Iran war, The Centre has asked states and urban local bodies (ULBs) to fast-track approvals and adopt time-bound plans to accelerate the expansion of Piped Natural Gas (PNG) networks across urban areas.
All districts and ULBs have been directed to prepare a time-bound three weeks action plan with ward-wise targets, identification of priority areas and clear timelines for approvals and execution.

The self-billing option allows you to take a meter reading of your PNG consumption and create your bill from it, thereby eliminating the possibility of any discrepancies between what you expect your bill to be and what you actually receive.
The PNG connection is an advanced option compared to a normal LPG connection; you can control numerous features through a mobile device. One of the most helpful options available is self-billing, which takes very little time and effort to complete. To utilize the self-billing feature, you must first have an account on the app from your PNG provider. To do this, go to your provider’s official website and download the corresponding app. Next, register on the app with your customer ID.
Here is the step-by-step guide to Self-billing your PNG connection.
Log in to your PNG company’s official app. On the home page, click on the Self-Billing tab.
Enter your Customer ID. Input your meter reading in the app.
Upload a photo of your meter. Make sure the reading is clearly visible in the image. Submit your self-reading.
Once you complete the self-billing process, your bill will be generated within 24–48 hours. After the bill has been produced, you will be required to pay your bill on or before the due date.
