Singapore has been ranked as the title of the world’s most powerful passport. "With historical data spanning 20 years, the Henley Passport Index is the only one of its kind based on exclusive data from the International Air Transport Authority (IATA). The index includes 199 different passports and 227 different travel destinations," reads the official website of Henley & Partners. The Henley Passport Index is considered the standard reference tool for global citizens and sovereign states when assessing where a passport ranks on the global mobility spectrum.

The Singaporean passport is the most powerful in the world, offering visa-free access to 192 out of 227 destinations.

As per the recently published Henley Passport Index 2026, Japan secured the second rank, thus sharing the position with South Korea, UAE. They can travel to as many as 187 different travel destinations out of 227.

As per the recently published Henley Passport Index 2026, Japan secured the second rank, thus sharing the position with South Korea, UAE.
