Ishan Kishan and Suryakumar Yadav stitched 137-run partnership, which is also India's second-highest against New Zealand, after the 158-run opening stand by Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan in Delhi in 2017.
Suryakumar Yadav won the toss and opted to bat first. The decision paid off handsomely, as India posted a commanding total of 271/5 in their 20 overs.
