Mohammed Siraj has been fined 15 per cent of his match fees by ICC. Siraj was found to have breached Article 2.5 of the ICC Code of Conduct for Players and Player Support Personnel, which relates to 'using language, actions or gestures which disparage or which could provoke an aggressive reaction from a batter upon his/her dismissal during an International Match'.
ICC have also added one demerit point to Mohammed Siraj's name. It was the second offence for Siraj in a 24-month period, taking his tally of demerit points in a 24-month period to two.
Mohammed Siraj is guilty of 'excessive celebration' after dismissal of Ben Duckett in the 2nd innings. "Siraj admitted the offence and accepted the sanction proposed by Richie Richardson of the Emirates ICC Elite Panel of Match Referees, so there was no need for a formal hearing," an ICC statement read.
Washington Sundar claimed 4 wickets in 2nd innings of Lord's Test on Sunday. Sundar's spell helped set a target of 193 runs for Team India to win.
Washington Sundar's spell are 2nd best by Indian spinner in England in the last 40 years. While Sundar claimed 4/22, Harbhajan Singh had picked up 5/115 against England at the Oval in 2002.
