BCCI have handed one demerit point to Kyle Jamieson for his agressive action vs Vaibhav Sooryavanshi. "Kyle Jamieson, Bowler, Delhi Capitals, has accumulated one Demerit Point and received a warning for breaching Level 1 of the IPL’s Code of Conduct for Players and Team Officials during Match No. 43 against Rajasthan Royals (RR) at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium, Jaipur. Jamieson was found to have breached Article 2.5 of the IPL’s Code of Conduct, which relates to “using language, actions or gestures which disparage or which could provoke an aggressive reaction from another player in the match," a BCCI statement read.
Kyle Jamieson can be BANNED for one match if he accumulates 5 demerit points in one season of the Indian Premier League, according to BCCI rules and regulations. Jamieson can be banned for 2 matches if he accumulates 7 demerit points in a season.
Lucknow Super Giants leg-spinner Digvesh Rathi was banned for one match in IPL 2025 after accumulating 5 demerit points. Rathi's demerit points have been carried forward to IPL 2026 season as well.
Rajasthan Royals captain Riyan Parag has also been handed 1 demerit point for 'vaping' in dressing room in the last match vs Punjab Kings in New Chandigarh last week.
