West Indies explosive batsman Andre Russell has recently decided to retire from international cricket. Russell will say goodbye to international cricket after the second match of the five-match T20 series against Australia.
West Indies explosive wicketkeeper batsman Nicholas Pooran has retired from international cricket. Pooran surprised everyone by saying goodbye to international cricket at the age of just 29.
Following the retirement of West Indies big hitter Andre Russell and Nicholas Pooran, Five more cricketer may retire from Internationl Cricket.
West Indies explosive batsman Andre Fletcher may also retire from international cricket soon. Fletcher is 38 years old. He has been out of the West Indies ODI team since 2016. He is also out of the T20 team since 2024. Fletcher has played 25 ODIs and 60 T20 matches for West Indies.
Shimron Hetmyer has not been in a good form for the West Indies. Hetmyer last played a Test match for West Indies in the 2019. At the same time, he returned to the team after almost a year in ODIs. But he could not do anything special. Hetmyer has scored 983 runs in 64 matches at a strike rate of just 121.35.
Jason Holder was once the captain of the West Indies ODI and Test team. But now he is out of both the teams. He is seen playing T20 cricket. Holder may consider retiring from a specific format, or he could end up stepping away from international cricket altogether.
Akeel Hussain has been out of the ODI team for almost two years. He has never got a chance to play in Tests. In such a situation, he can retire from both these formats. His performance in T20 has also not been great. He has taken only 65 wickets in 70 matches.
