England defeated Australia by four wickets in the fourth Test, securing their first Test win on Australian soil since 2011. Jos Buttler, Harry Brook, Jacob Bethell, and Ben Duckett, with the entire team performing played a crucial role and left Australia with little chance of recovery.
Ben Duckett had a slow start in England's first innings as he got out for just two runs. However, he steadied himself in the second innings, scoring 34 off 26 balls, which featured four fours and a six.
Ben Duckett reached 3,000 runs in Test cricket after facing 3,474 balls, making him the second-fastest batsman to achieve the milestone in terms of balls faced.
The record for the fewest balls to 3,000 Test runs is held by England's Harry Brook, who did it in 3,468 balls.
Ben Duckett would have broken Brook's record, but he narrowly missed out on claiming it by 7 balls.
Ben Duckett made his Test debut for England in 2016. Since then, he has played 42 matches, and scored 3,005 runs, which included six centuries and 16 half-centuries.
