Sanjiv Goenka, who owns Lucknow SuperGiants and Durban SuperGiants and leads the RPSG Group, has bought the Manchester Originals team in The Hundred tournament.
The 19th season of the Indian Premier League will be played in the year 2026, for which Lucknow Super Giants has already started its preparations. LSG has announced to appoint former Team India bowling coach Bharat Arun, who was part of the coaching staff of the Kolkata Knight Riders team till the last IPL season, as the new bowling coach of its team before the next season. Lucknow Super Giants has also officially announced this, which was being discussed for the last few days.
Bharat Arun, who was working as the bowling consultant of Shah Rukh Khan's Kolkata Knight Riders for the last four years after stepping down from the post of Team India's bowling coach, resigned from this post on 29 July. Now he will play the role of bowling coach for Lucknow Super Giants.
In a statement issued by LSG, it was said that along with mentor Zaheer Khan, head coach Justin Langer and assistant coach Lance Klusener, the addition of fast bowling coach Bharat Arun to the team will further strengthen the bowling unit of LSG and the team will achieve new heights in the coming season.
Expressing his happiness on joining the Lucknow Super Giants team, Bharat Arun said that "It's an honour to join the Lucknow Super Giants, a franchise that reflects professionalism, ambition, and vision at every level," said Bharat Arun. "My conversations with Mr. Sanjiv Goenka and the management were incredibly energizing — there is a clear intent to invest in young Indian talent and build a long-term legacy."
