Babar Azam has scored over 4000 runs in T20I cricket. He has 4223 runs in 128 T20Is with 3 hundreds and 36 fifties to his name.
Babar Azam has been recalled to T20 after Pakistan lost all 3 matches to India in Asia Cup 2025 last month, including the final by five wickets.
Babar Azam is also part of ODI squad for South Africa series. Shaheen Shah Afridi has been appointed new captain of Pakistan ODI team replacing Mohammad Rizwan.
Naseem Shah has also made a comeback into the Pakistan T20 team. Naseem and Babar Azam's recall gives them chance to be selected for T20 World Cup 2026 next year.

Haris Rauf has also been dropped from Pakistan T20 team after conceding over 50 runs in the Asia Cup 2025 final. Rauf was also sanctioned by ICC for his inappropriate gestures in match against India.
