India's wicketkeeper and Kavya Maran's SRH star batter Ishan Kishan has not been able to be a part of Team India for some time. He played his last international match for India in the year 2023. At the same time, recently he was selected in the India A squad, which toured England.

India's wicketkeeper batsman Ishan Kishan has signed a short-term contract with Nottinghamshire to showcase his talent in England's County Championship. This contract is for two County Championship matches, in which he will play in place of South Africa's Kyle Verreynne, who will be on national duty for the Test series against Zimbabwe. 26-year-old Ishan will play county cricket in England for the first time.
Ishan Kishan, who is known for his aggressive batting and flamboyant wicketkeeping, will play two County Championship matches for Nottinghamshire. These matches will be against Yorkshire at Trent Bridge on June 22 and against Somerset at Taunton on June 29. Ishan's move has come after he did not get a place in the Indian team for the ongoing Test series against England. Dhruv Jurel was preferred in his place, after which Ishan has decided to further improve his red-ball cricket through county cricket.
On joining Nottinghamshire, Ishan Kishan said, 'I am very excited to get my first chance to play county cricket in England and it will be a great opportunity to showcase my skills. I want to make sure that I become the best cricketer I can be and playing in English conditions will really help me learn new skills. Trent Bridge is a ground that is famous in India and around the world, and I am really excited that I will play there.'
Let us tell you, Ishan Kishan has scored 3447 runs in 58 matches in his first class career, which includes eight centuries and 17 half-centuries. His best innings was 273 runs for Jharkhand against Delhi in 2016, which was Jharkhand's record score in Ranji Trophy at that time.
