Royal Challengers Bengaluru owners Diageo are planning to sell IPL team at at valuation of $1.8 billion. Diageo want to sell the team in the aftermath of Bengaluru stampede after RCB's felicitation last year in which 11 people died.
Billionaire David Blitzer is interested in buying Royal Challengers Bengaluru, according to a report by Reuters. The talks value Royal Challengers Bengaluru, last year's IPL champions, at around $1.8 billion, three sources told the news agency.
David Blitzer has reported net worth of over Rs 32000 crore or $3.6 billion. He is owner of Philadelphia 76ers and New Jersey Devils teams.
David Blitzer has also shown interest in buying Rajasthan Royals IPL team. Raine Group is advising the Rajasthan Royals.
Rajasthan Royals finished in 9th place in IPL 2025 season. RR owner Manoj Badale is also in talks to sell the team which won IPL title in 2008.
