Chasing a tricky 256-run target, the Aussies rode on a record opening partnership between Warner and Finch to cruise to victory in 37.4 overs and record their first 10-wicket win over India in ODIs.

Australia issued a statement with a crushing 10-wicket victory over India in the first of three ODIs to take a 1-0 lead at the Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai on Tuesday. Shikhar Dhawan hit a half-century before Australia pulled things back to bowl India out for 255 in the first ODI of the three-match series on Tuesday. Dhawan looked in great touch during his 91-ball 74 and, in the company of KL Rahul (47), shared a second-wicket stand of 121 runs off 136 balls to set the base for India's total. However, India failed to capitalise.
