After their final against Karnataka ended in a draw on Saturday. Jammu and Kashmir declared was champions because of a massive first-innings lead, which proved decisive in the summit clash.
The BCCI revised the prize money for domestic tournaments in April 2023. Under the updated structure, Jammu and Kashmir - the winner team will receive Rs 5 crore, while Karnataka - the runner-up team will get Rs 3 Crore
Teams that exit at the semi-final stage will earn Rs 1,00,00,000 crore each.
J&K have hit the big jackpot, as they will not only receive prize money from the BCCI, but also a cash reward from Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, who was present in the stands to witness the historic moment.
CM Omar Abdullah announced a cash reward of Rs 2,00,00,000 crore for the players and the support staff.
"Congratulating Team J&K on their historic triumph in the Ranji Trophy, the Chief Minister announced a cash reward of Rs 2 crore for the players and support staff after their emphatic victory over Karnataka on their home turf," the Office of Chief Minister said in a social media post.
