Star India pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar holds the record for bowling the most dot balls in the history of the IPL. In 190 matches, he has bowled 1,852 deliveries without conceding runs on those balls, with 43.9% of his deliveries being dot balls. Bhuvneshwar has picked a total of 198 wickets in the tournament.
West Indies spinner Sunil Narine ranks second on the list, having taken 92 wickets in 189 IPL matches. He has bowled 1,720 dot balls, with 39.6% of his deliveries yielding no runs.
Ravichandran Ashwin has bowled a total of 1,664 dot balls (35.3%) across 221 IPL matches, claiming 187 wickets. He has retired from both international cricket and the IPL, finishing his final season with Chennai Super Kings.
Jasprit Bumrah ranks fourth on the list, he has bowled a total of 1,420 dot balls across 145 matches. No runs were scored off 42.6 percent of his deliveries. He has picked 183 wickets in the tournament.
Former spinner Piyush Chawla has bowled 1,358 dot balls (35.3%) in his IPL career, taking 192 wickets across 192 matches. He last appeared in the IPL in 2024, representing Mumbai Indians.
Star India all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja has taken 170 wickets across 254 IPL matches, he delivered 1,338 dot balls (33.0%). A longtime player for Chennai Super Kings, Jadeja is set to represent Rajasthan Royals in the upcoming season.
IPL's highest wicket-taker Yuzvendra Chahal has bowled 1,319 dot balls, with 34.8% of his deliveries with no runs. Representing Punjab Kings, Chahal has claimed 221 wickets in 174 matches and is currently the only player in IPL history to surpass the 200-wicket milestone.
