In 2018, Manika Batra became the first Indian woman to win a Table Tennis singles gold medal at the Commonwealth Games and bagged a total of four medals - which included two gold medals - as the 25-year-old led India to its first-ever women's team gold at the Commonwealth Games.
Touted as India's next-gen star - Manika Batra has been garnering a lot of praise for his achievements in Table Tennis world. She won the Khel Ratna award - a jewel of sport - and in so doing became the first table tennis player to ever gain the decoration first presented in 1992.
