Cheteshwar Pujara announced his retirement from all forms of cricket on Sunday, August 24, through an emotional social media post, ending a legendary career that spanned nearly two decades, including 14 years at the international level.

Pujara was celebrated as a Test specialist, leaving behind a legacy that will be remembered for years. The right-handed batsman is one of only 13 Indians to have played 100 Test matches. Over his career, he featured in 104 Tests for India, amassing 7,195 runs, including 19 centuries, at an average of 43.60.

"It’s difficult to single out one. I began my Test journey under Mahi bhai (MS Dhoni), then played under Virat and Rohit. I also had the chance to play for Dada (Sourav Ganguly) in the IPL, and Ajinkya (Rahane) led us in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy in 2016-17. Each captain had his own strengths, and I enjoyed playing under all of them," Pujara added
