Indian captain Shubman Gill is set to be rested for one-off Test vs Afghanistan in June. The Afghanistan Test is not part of World Test Championships 2025-27 calendar.
Jasprit Bumrah might also be rested for one-off Test vs Afghanistan, according to a report in TOI website. "There is not much gap between IPL and Afghanistan Test, so the selectors will be wary of not burning out the players, as there are three ODIs, then white-ball series in England," a BCCI source was quoted as saying by TOI.
