IPL 2026 match no.11 between Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Chennai Super Kings turned into a power-hitting spectacle at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium as RCB batter smashed a total of 19 sixes in their innings.
Australia's star all-rounder Tim David wrecked havoc at the Chinnaswamy as he remained unbeaten at 70 off just 25 balls. His knock was laced with three boundaries and eight towering sixes.
In the 19th over of RCB's innings Tim David smashed Jamie Overton for 30-runs which included three consecutive sixes, one of his sixes even cleared the Chinnaswamy rooftop.
Tim David credited RCB's batting coach Dinesh Karthik for guiding him to prepare for the Bengaluru condition.
"I do not change my game much, but I have confidence from all the preparation that I do. It is nice to work with DK (Dinesh Karthik's fraternity name), he is an experienced player in these conditions. I have been in the IPL for a few years and with that kind of preparation, you don't put pressure on yourself to perform," David said at the post-match presentation.
Tim David, Rajat Patidar, and Devdutt Padikkal's impressive batting display along with cameo knocks from Virat Kohli and Phil Salt, guided RCB to post a massive total of 250 in their 20 overs.
RCB handed CSK their third consecutive defeat in IPL 2026, beating them by 43 runs despite crucial knocks from Sarfaraz Khan and Prashant Veer.
