Defending Champion RCB's death bowling is still a major concern. Josh Hazlewood delivered consistently, but overall, the attack conceded 11.19 runs per over at the death and managed a modest dot-ball rate of just 31.4%. RCB might target Mustafizur Rahman, the left-arm pacer, who is known for his cutters and variations off the pitch, has taken 16 wickets this year in T20s while maintaining an impressive economy of 7.31.
RCB has a strong batting order with Virat Kohli, Phil Salt, and Devdutt Padikkal while Jitesh Sharma leads the middle order alongside captain Rajat Patidar, Tim David, and Romario Shepherd. But with Liam Livingstone released, the team now has an opening for a batting all-rounder a spot that Michael Bracewell could potentially fill. Bracewell had an impressive year with the bat as he scored 536 runs at a strike rate of 146.4 and taking 23 wickets in T20s.
Sri Lankan spin ace Wanindu Hasaranga could be a strong option for the defending champions in the upcoming IPL auction. Beyond his useful lower-order batting, Hasaranga's deceptive wrist-spin makes him a major threat in T20 cricket. He has taken 40 wickets in the format this year and would significantly strengthen RCB's squad for the 2026 season.
RCB have let go of several fast bowlers, including Lungi Ngidi and Blessing Muzarabani. If they are looking for a strong overseas pace option, Alzarri Joseph could be the ideal choice. If the franchise manages to sign him, Joseph could serve as an effective replacement for Ngidi and strengthen their reserve seam-bowling options.
