Dinesh Karthik fell in love India's top squash star Dipika Pallikal. Dinesh Karthik's first marriage with Nikita Vanjara ended in divorce in 2012.
Dinesh Karthik took fitness classes with Dipika Pallikal under coach Shankar Basu. Karthik would visit his gym at 6am to meet Dipika.
Dinesh Karthik flew down to UK to meet Dipika Pallikal before marriage. "It was February 2013, and I had just won a tournament in Canada while Dinesh was playing domestic cricket in India. I went to Leeds (England) to train for a week and I found him there, coming all the way to see me. That was when I fell for him, realising not many would do something like that. He used to watch me train at the academy and even tried his hand at squash. He played much better than I thought," Dipika Pallikal had said.
Dinesh Karthik and Dipika Pallikal got married in 2015 after Karthik had proposed to her back in 2013. Karthik and Pallikal had a Christian wedding followed by a Hindu-style Telegu wedding in August 2015. The couple have twin sons.
