1. Sunil Gavaskar
Sunil Gavaskar captained India to victory in the inaugural Asia Cup in 1984, which was held in Sharjah. The tournament followed a round-robin format, and under Gavaskar’s captaincy, India defeated both Sri Lanka and Pakistan to lift the very first Asia Cup title.
