Shaheen Afridi seems to have recovered the edge that once made him Pakistan's most dangerous pacer after two difficult years battling back injuries, dip in form, and the rise and fall of his T20I captaincy. On Sunday, both Gill and Afridi who have been used to heated arguments since their Under-19 World Cup days, will face each other again, but this time in T20Is.

Kuldeep Yadav could have been an all-format regular, but he is considered as a white-ball specialist. His four-wicket haul against UAE, after not being part of the playing XI all summer in England, was a timely reminder of his skills. Fans still remember his iconic delivery to Babar Azam in the 2019 World Cup, one that even earned praise from Shane Warne.

Varun Chakravarthy was dropped after India’s 2021 T20 World Cup exit and his return was doubtful, but since the last edition, he has taken more T20I wickets than any other bowler 32 in total.

Pakistan’s rising star wrist-spinner Sufiyan Muqeem has proved himself as a bright prospect through their 'A' setup. He is quicker through the air than Kuldeep, he also impressed everyone during Pakistan’s victory over India in the 2023 Emerging Asia Cup.

Abrar Ahmed has shown his ability to change games with one special delivery. His ripping ball to dismiss Shubman Gill in the Champions Trophy earlier this year proved just that. Together with Muqeem, he forms Pakistan’s mystery spin duo.

Jasprit Bumrah, world's finest pacer bowls with a blend of accuracy, pace, and variations. Haris may try fearless strokes against him, but Bumrah’s skill and discipline make such risks unlikely to succeed often.

Hasan Nawaz has become Pakistan's big hitter outside the powerplay, striking at 174.09 in 2025 T20s, second only to Dewald Brevis and Tim David. However, his strike rate dips to 150 against spin bowling, which suggests that quality spinners trouble him.

In the just concluded tri-series, Noor and Rashid Khan repeatedly dismissed him, as he managed to score only 33 runs across three innings. With India’s spin trio Axar Patel, Varun Chakravarthy, and Kuldeep posing a similar threat, how Hasan handles the middle overs could be a key factor in this clash..
