Indian cricket team's powerful batsman Rohit Sharma is known as the 'hitman'. He is famous for his aggressive batting and consistency. In the year 2015, he married Ritika Sajdeh, with whom he also has a daughter, Samaira. But did you know that Rohit Sharma is also related to the Khan family of Bollywood?
Rohit Sharma was born on 30 April 1987 in Bansod, Maharashtra, to Purnima and Gurunath Sharma. Due to financial constraints, Rohit was raised by his grandparents and uncle in Borivali, Mumbai. He only visited his parents on weekends. Rohit had once told ESPN CricInfo that he had taken part in a cricket summer camp out of interest. There, his coach recognized his talent and admitted him to the Swami Vivekananda International School, which had better cricketing facilities. The coach also got him a scholarship to cover his fees.
She is the first cousin of Rohit Sharma's wife Ritika, Bunty Sajdeh and Seema Sajdeh. Bunty Sajdeh is the CEO of Cornerstone Sports and looks after the management of many big players such as Sania Mirza and KL Rahul. Seema Sajdeh is a fashion designer and she has been the ex-wife of Salman Khan’s brother Sohail Khan.
Seema Sajdeh and Sohail Khan got married in 1998 and stayed together till 2022. During this time they had two sons—Nirvana and Yohan. Seema also rose to fame from the show 'Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives', in which she appeared alongside Maheep Kapoor, Bhavna Pandey and Neelam Kothari.
Seema revealed during a podcast in 2023 that she and Sohail Khan had been living apart for many years, but were together for the kids. They later had to decide whether to save the marriage or prioritize the children. They decided to leave the marriage in the interest of their children.
Salman’s love for kids is not hidden by anybody and he loved to be on this platform as the second platform to kick off the promotional journey from. Infact, not just kids Salman is fond of music too and he stated that it was an enjoyable experience here more than just promotions.
Rohit Sharma's story started from a humble background to become a shining star of Indian cricket. His life exemplifies that with hard work, passion and the right support, one can scale heights. And now, his association with Bollywood has also become an interesting aspect.
