Dinesh Karthik has been appointed batting coach of London Spirit team in The Hundred league. "It's a pleasure to welcome DK to the London Spirit. He is a truly original thinker and his vast experience in short-format and franchise cricket will be invaluable to us," Spirit director of cricket Mo Bobat said in a statement.
Consortium named Cricket Investor Holdings Limited bought 49 per cent stake in London Spirit for Rs 17300 crore. The Spirit is a franchise in The Hundred League in UK.
Google's Sundar Pichai and Microsoft's Satya Nadella are part of cricket consortium which features other tech giants like Satyan Gajwani, Shantanu Narayen (Adobe) and Egon Durban (Silver Lake).
Dinesh Karthik turned out in 26 Tests, 94 ODIs and 60 T20I matches for India. He scored 1025 Test runs, 1752 ODI runs and 686 T20I runs in his career.
