So far this season, Mumbai, the 42-time champions with one win and two draws, will play their second home match at the BKC ground. Yashasvi Jaiswal, who scored 67 and 156 against Rajasthan in Jaipur, has been released from the team because he has been selected for India's two-Test series against South Africa starting on November 14 in Kolkata. Earlier, Yashasvi had returned from the Australia tour after warming the bench and did not get a chance to play in the three-match ODI series against Australia.

Yashasvi Jaiswal also took a wicket against Rajasthan. He dismissed Deepak Hudda for 248, claiming his first wicket in first-class cricket. Hudda was caught by the wicketkeeper off Jaiswal’s bowling. After making an impact with the ball, Jaiswal gave Mumbai a strong start in their second innings as well. His century showed that he is ready to make a mark in the upcoming Test series against South Africa.
