1. Steve Smith

Steve Smith has entered the IPL 2026 auction with a base price of Rs 2 crore. The former Rajasthan Royals captain last featured in the IPL during the 2021 season for Delhi Capitals and is expected to go unsold in this year's auction either.

2. Charith Asalanka

Sri Lanka T20I captain Charith Asalanka was acquired by MI as a replacement for the IPL 2025 playoffs but didn't feature in any game. He has entered the IPL 2026 auction with a base price of Rs 1 crore, though he might not find any buyer in this year's auction.

3. Devon Conway

CSK acquired New Zealand top-order batter Devon Conway in last year’s mega auction for over Rs 6 crore, but he struggled to perform. Ahead of the IPL 2026 auction, CSK released him. With his recent loss of form also affecting his place in the New Zealand team, he is unlikely to attract any bids this year.

4. Josh Inglis

Australian wicketkeeper-batter Josh Inglis is reportedly available for just four matches in IPL 2026, making it unlikely that any team will bid for him in the auction.

5. Pathum Nissanka

Sri Lanka's leading T20I run-scorer Pathum Nissanka, impressed everyone with his batting in the 2025 Asia Cup. Having never played in the IPL and with teams rarely signing Sri Lankan batters at the auction, his chances of being picked remain uncertain.

6. Umesh Yadav

Umesh Yadav is among the most experienced pacer in the IPL, but given his age, he's unlikely to be purchased by any franchise.

7. Daryll Mitchell

New Zealand's Daryl Mitchell, who represented CSK in IPL 2024 had a disappointing season, and later went unsold in the IPL 2025 mega auction. Although he has registered his name for the IPL 2026 auction, he is once again might get unsold.

8. Sarfaraz Khan

Sarfaraz Khan represented Delhi Capitals in IPL 2023 but went unsold in 2024-2025. He has been in a brilliant form during the SMAT representing Mumbai but despite that, his chances of getting a buyer look slim.

9. Jason Holder

Holder has represented several IPL franchises over the years. Given his age and disappointing performances in global T20 leagues he might get unsold in this year auction as well.

10. Mayank Agarwal

After going unsold in the IPL 2025 mega auction, Mayank Agarwal was acquired by RCB as an injury replacement of Devdutt Padikkal. However, he couldn’t make a significant impact with the bat, leading the franchise to release him ahead of the next season.
