Team India are set to face Sri Lanka in a two-match Test series starting at Galle on August 15.
Shubman Gill's Team India are currently in 5th place on World Test Championships 2025-27 Points Table with a PCT of 48.15. While Sri Lanka are 6th with PCT of 41.67.
India can improve their PCT to 57.58 from Sri Lanka series if they can win with 2-0 margin. But they will still remain 5th because Bangladesh have PCT of 58.33 currently.
India's PCT will only rise to 48.48 if they draw the series against Sri Lanka 1-1.
India will slip to 6th place if they lose the series 2-0 to Sri Lanka and their PCT will drop to 39.39 while Lankan PCT will jump to 61.11.
If India win with a 1-0 margin, their PCT will be 51.52 but they will remain in 5th place. Sri Lanka will rise to 5th place with a PCT of 50 if they win with a 1-0 margin.
