Indian cricket star Virat Kohli and Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma are celebrating their eighth wedding anniversary. The couple tied the knot in a private ceremony in Tuscany, Italy, on December 11, 2017.
Whenever Virat scores a century, he never forgets to kiss his wedding ring. He did this loving gesture even after scoring two consecutive centuries in the recent ODI series against South Africa.
Kohli's IPL team, Royal Challengers Bangalore, shared a beautiful photo collage to wish the couple on their anniversary, which was also loved by the fans.
Virat and Anushka first met during an advertisement shoot in 2013. Virat was quite nervous at the time because he had no acting experience. This shoot marked the beginning of their friendship.
The relationship first made headlines in 2014 when, upon returning from Team India's tour of South Africa, Virat went to Anushka's house instead of going to the hotel with the other players. This is when the couple received significant media attention.
Virat's flying kiss to Anushka after scoring a century in Melbourne seemed to confirm their relationship. After dating for a few years, the couple got married in 2017. Today, they are parents to two children — Vamika (2021) and Akaay (2024).
