Jos Buttler holds the record for smashing the most numbers of fours and sixes in a single edititon of the Indian Premier League (IPL). Star England's batter has smashed a total of 83 boundaries and 45 sixes. Buttler amassed 863 runs across 17 matches while representing Rajasthan Royals.
Star India batter Virat Kohli ranks second on the list of players with the most fours and sixes in a single IPL season. Kohli smashed 83 fours and 38 sixes across 16 matches, scoring a total of 973 runs for RCB in 2016. RCB reached the final that year but lost to Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in a closely contested match.
Australia's star opener ranks third on the list of players with most fours and sixes in a single IPL edition. Warner smashed 88 fours and 31 sixes across 17 matches, he scored 848 runs while leading SRH and the team went on to become the champions.
Shubman Gill ranks fourth on the list as he registered 118 boundaries in the 2023 IPL season, including 85 fours and 33 sixes. He played a crucial role in the team's title-winning campaign, scoring 890 runs in 17 matches.
Sai Sudharsan, the young opener for Gujarat Titans, enjoyed a sensational run in the 2025 IPL season. He emerged as the highest run-scorer of the season with 759 runs in 15 matches, registering 109 boundaries, including 88 fours and 21 sixes.
