Virat Kohli has retired from both Tests and T20Is, leaving him with the opportunities to score centuries solely in the ODI format.
Following the ongoing South Africa series, India is set to play six ODI series before the 2027 World Cup, giving Kohli 18 ODI matches to pursue his century record.
If India makes it to the final, Kohli will get 11 matches during the 2027 World Cup, while an early exit would limit him to a minimum of six games.
Kohli has roughly 29 opportunities left to achieve the 100-centuries record, which includes 18 ODIs plus 11 2027 World Cup games.
Kohli still has a chance to reach 100 centuries, but it will be his most difficult challenge yet. If he carries his red-hot form, the dream can remain alive through the 2027 World Cup.
