In these collection of pictures, we find out all about why MS Dhoni is not playing for CSK in IPL 2026.
The match no. 37 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026, is playing between Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Gujarat Titans (GT) at the MA Chidambaram Stadium.
Gujarat Titans won the toss and decided to bowl first against Chennai Super Kings.
Chennai Super Kings (CSK) fans are still waiting for legendary player MS Dhoni's comeback in IPL 2026.
He missed the first two weeks of IPL 2026, due to a calf injury and has been recovering since.
CSK say he is still recovering, but reports suggest Dhoni is fit and is delaying his return as he doesn’t want to disturb the settled team combination.
CSK head coach Stephen Fleming opens up on MS Dhoni's injury update, “He’s progressing well. He’s on the road to recovery and doing everything that’s being asked of him.”
CSK batting coach Mike Hussey also gave a update on MS Dhoni, “He is progressing really well. He has been really pushing hard to get back as quick as he possibly can. I know all the fans would like to see Dhoni out there playing as well. We are hopeful, maybe in the coming few games. Even we want him as quickly as he possibly can as well. But obviously, he needs to be closer to 100 percent fit, ready to give his best. He has been batting really well in the nets, he looks good in the nets, just need him running hard between the wickets too.”
