Moatsu festival of Nagaland
Moatsu is a festival of Nagaland celebrated by the Ao tribes there; it marks the end of planting season. All activities associated with the harvest happen during this festival just like Baisakhi in Punjab. The highlight of the occasion is Sangpangtu. Men and women dress up in their best attire and sit around a fire, eating meat and wine. It falls in first week of May each year and is celebrates at Mokokchung district villages in Nagaland.
