The Indian Navy has recently added several indigenously built vessels, including Project-17A frigate INS Dunagiri, INS Sanshodhak, and the anti-submarine warfare shallow water craft INS Agray.

One of India's first indigenous aircraft carriers, also known as the "floating fortress", INS Vikrant is considered to be one of the deadliest surface combatants in the Indian Navy. The Kiev-class INS Vikramaditya is yet another example with its extensive operational range and advanced aircraft complement for air superiority.

The US Navy has also introduced several vessels. These include the nuclear-powered attack submarine USS Massachusetts and the planned America-class amphibious assault ship USS Bougainville.

In the most recent addition to its naval fleet, China brought in two 10,000-ton Type 055 destroyers, namely Dongguan and Anqing. A few others include Guiyang and Chengdu, Type 052D destroyers.

One of the deadliest ships in the Chinese Navy includes the Renhai-class Type 055 Destroyer, Luyang III-class Type 052D Destroyer, which is a heavily armed modern guided-missile destroyer often described as the backbone of the Chinese surface fleet. China's Type 094 Nuclear-Powered Ballistic Missile Submarine (SSBN) also forms a major threat to countries.

The Russian Navy has added 19 surface ships and three submarines to its fleet by the end of 2025. It includes Knyaz Pozharsky, which is a strategic nuclear submarine, and non-nuclear submarines Yakutsk and Velikiye Luki. Stavpoland Arctic Patrol ship Nikolai Zubov has also been added to its fleet.

The Russian Navy consists of the Kirov-class battlecruiser Petr Velikiy, which is the largest surface combatant in the world, often called a "carrier killer." Admiral Golovko (Project 22350 frigate) is another highly dangerous vessel due to its operational deployment of the 3M22 Tsirkon hypersonic cruise missile.
