Rajasthan Lok Sabha Election 2024: Alwar Lok Sabha constituency is one of the 25 Lok Sabha constituencies, consisting of eight assembly segments in Rajasthan, The Alwar constituency has been a traditional bastion of the Congress who have won the seat 11 times since the 1952 elections, however, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has made inroads in the region and captured the seat for two consecutive terms in 2014 and 2019 Lok Sabha polls.

In the 2019 general elections, BJP nominee Balak Nath maintained the saffron party’s grip on the seat by defeating Congress candidate Bhanwar Jitendra Singh by a thumping margin of 3,29,971 votes. In the fiercely contested poll battle, Nath received 7,60,201 votes while Jitendra Singh managed only 4,30,230 votes.

About Alwar Lok Sabha Constituency

Following its thumping victories in the Assembly elections in the three Hindi heartland states late last year, the ruling BJP in Rajasthan will be looking to complete a hatrick of victories in Alwar constituency while the opposition is eyeing to regain the hold of its erstwhile bastion.

It will be Yadav Vs Yadav in a direct fight between the BJP and the Congress, with ruling party pitting Bhupender Yadav against the grand-old-party candidate Lalit Yadav.

Elections for the 25 Lok Sabha seats in Rajasthan will be held in first two phases, April 19 (phase 1) and  April 26 (phase 2) of the general elections. Votes will be counted on June 4 and results declared on the same day, the Election Commission has announced.
