Big B’s version of the song has been arranged by Rohan Utpat and Vinayak K Salvi.

The new track titled ‘Waqt Ne Kiya’ crooned by Amitabh himself, is a new rendition of the timeless classic ‘Waqt Ne Kiya Kya Haseen Sitam’ (from the 1959 film ‘Kaagaz Ke Phool’) which was originally composed by SD Burman and the sung by Geeta Dutt. Bollywood Shehensha Amitabh Bachchan, who made his singing debut with the song ‘Mere Paas Aao’ from 1979 film ‘Mr Natwarlal’, has lent his baritone voice to numerous memorable songs like ‘Neela Aasman So Gaya’ and ‘Rang Barse’ from ‘Silsila’ (1981), ‘Mere Angne Mein’ from ‘Laawaris’ (1981) and ‘Main Yahan Tu Wahan’ from ‘Baghban’ (2003) to tracks like ‘Ekla Cholo Re’ from’ Kahaan’i (2012) and ‘Piddly Si Baatein’ from ‘Shamitabh’ (2015) in recent years. Talking about the song, Amitabh, who got emotional and nostalgic crooning the track, had told The Times Of India, “This is one of my all-time favourite songs. It is from one of my favourite classic movies ‘Kaagaz Ke Phool’, starring Guru Dutt and Waheeda Rehman. Guru Dutt also directed the film. This wonderful movie didn’t work when it first released, but today, it is considered an iconic film. I will never forget the way the song was shot, where Guru Dutt saab is standing on stage and a stream of light is flowing in from above. There is a reference to this song in ‘102 Not Out’, so the makers were keen that I actually sing it for that particular scene.” 102 Not Out is bankrolled by SPF Films India and Treetop Entertainment and distributed by Sony Pictures.
