Bollywood is a pool of talent that finds new faces every other day. Here we have yet another newbie, who has been roped in to play the character of Hazel Grace Lancaster in the official Hindi adaptation of the Hollywood romantic saga, The Fault In Our Stars, alongside Sushant Singh Rajput. Sanjana Sanghi, who was seen in brief roles in Rockstar, Hindi Medium and Fukrey Returns, has a gorgeous look; and I am sure, she will have you hooked onto her in The Fault In Our Stars Remake.

While speculations about who will be seen opposite Sushant in the film have been rife for quite some time with the names of a few actresses like Sara Ali Khan, Janhvi Kapoor, among others, doing the rounds already. However, earlier today, the makers have zeroed in on Sanjana opposite SSR in the remake. Casting director Mukesh Chhabra, who will be making his directorial debut with the film, made the announcement.

Mukesh Chhabra said in a statement, “I met Sanjana while casting for Rockstar and found her to be a dynamic girl with great energy. After a few years, she reconnected for a few ad jobs and this time she came across as a mature young lady and to my surprise, a fabulous actor. I knew instantly that I would love to make a film with her one day. Once The Fault in Our Stars script was ready, she fit right in. She’s the perfect face and I can’t wait to create magic with this talented girl.”

This 21-year-old (young) upcoming model from Mumbai, who has acted in a number of TV advertisements as well as a few films, uses her Instagram account regularly to post pictures, that offer some glimpses into her personal life. The actress has a Facebook fan page as well with over 10,000 users.

The 2014 film revolves around Hazel Grace Lancaster (played by Shailene), a 16-year-old cancer patient, who is forced by her parents to attend a support group, where she meets and subsequently falls in love with Augustus Waters (played by Ansel), another cancer patient. The Hollywood movie received worldwide recognition with strong critical and commercial success for its portrayal of a sensitive and unique love story.

Helmed by Josh Boone, The Fault in Our Stars is a 2014 American romantic drama film based on the novel of the same name by John Green. Besides Shailene Woodley and Ansel Elgort, the film also features Nat Wolff, Laura Dern, Sam Trammell, and Willem Dafoe in supporting roles. Watch this space for further updates.
