Rumour has it that actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan will make a fleeting appearance in Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar’s science fiction movie 2.0. The film, which has been directed by S. Shankar, co-written by B. Jeyamohan and produced by Subaskaran Allirajah, is slated for release on November 29 this year. It has been touted as the most expensive Indian movie made to date with an estimated budget of Rs 550 crore.

The movie is a sequel of 2010 Tamil film Enthiran in which Rajinikanth played the role of Chitty a robot. In the sequel, the actor will be reprising the roles of Dr. Vaseegaran and Chitti. He is joined by actor Akshay Kumar, who plays the role of deadly villain Dr Richard/Crow, and actress Amy Jackson in supporting role.

If rumours are true, then Aishwarya will be joining them for a cameo in the film, and according to Bollywood Life, she will be performing an emotional scene with Vaseegaran, the scientist.

The teaser of the upcoming film shows an ultimate showdown between its two stars, Akshay and Rajinikanth, who are seen as the biggest rivals battling it out between good and evil.

The trailer of the movie, which is over one minute and sees a high dose of CGI work, begins with a shot of birds circling over city skies, which later is being seen taken over by flying cell phones.

2.0 marks the Tamil debut of Akshay and his first film with Rajinikanth. The film also stars Adil Hussain and Sudhanshu Pandey, and the music is by Oscar-winning composer AR Rahman.
